Gardaí have launched a murder inquiry after the body of a 64-year-old man was found near Brittas, Co Dublin yesterday.
The body was discovered in a wooded area at Ballinascorney Hill yesterday morning. It’s understood he died as a result of head injuries caused during an assault.
The retired man was last seen when he left his home in the Ballinascorney area to walk his two dogs early on Thursday morning.
A search of the area was carried out after his family raised the alarm later that day after he failed to return home.
