At least 16 people have died after a fire broke out in a warehouse in Moscow.
Fire crews were forced to break through a wall to save 12 people who were trapped inside. But they were unable to free a number of other people who died when flames quickly engulfed the building.
“When the fire was being put out, a room that had been cut off by the flames was discovered,” TASS news agency quoted the regional branch of the emergency ministry’s press service as saying.
“Firefighters tore down the wall and found 16 dead.”
All of the victims are understood to be migrant workers who lived in the building.
