At least six people have died and more than 150 injured when a passenger train collided with a freight train in northern Pakistan.

Four carriages were overturned in the crash.

Officials revealed the Awam Express collided with a freight train near Multan, as it made it’s way to the country’s biggest city, Karachi and said suspected negligence on the part of passenger train engineer may have caused the accident, saying the freight train had stopped so the driver could remove the body of a man who had been crushed to death while crossing the railway track.
